“The decision against the free movement of workers comes at a bad moment. Brexit acts as an additional brake pad in the corona crisis. If the UK rejects the free movement of workers it cannot get free capital movement. Closing the borders for people but keeping them open for capital would be unacceptable. The four European fundamental freedoms only exist as a package.
