The election results in Bavaria, Luxembourg and Belgium have shown that Greens are gaining ground with our message for a strong European Union geared towards an ecological, just and innovative Europe. The European Green Party, who brings together Green Parties from all over Europe, will choose two lead candidates (also known as <i>Spitzenkandidaten<\/i>) to spearhead this message during the campaign for the European Elections in May 2019.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Nominated are <b>Ska Keller MEP <\/b>(https:\/\/www.skakeller.de\/), <b>Senator Petra de Sutter<\/b> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.petradesutter.eu\/candidacy-spitzenkandidat-2019-petra-de-sutter\/\">http:\/\/www.petradesutter.eu\/candidacy-spitzenkandidat-2019-petra-de-sutter\/<\/a>) and <b>Bas Eickhout MEP<\/b> (https:\/\/groenlinks.nl\/mensen\/bas-eickhout\/).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Before the decision is made by the EGP Council delegates in Berlin on 24 November I invited all three candidates to the next session of my online discussion series <b>Europe Calling on Monday, 5 November 6pm &#8211; 7.30pm (CET)<\/b> to introduce themselves to a wider audience and answer your most burning questions. I will do whatever I can to make it a lively debate full of conflicts between Greens. We are also delighted that Mar Garcia, Secretary General of the European Green Party, will join us for a welcoming address.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Europe Calling is a highly interactive online discussion format that allows all participants to ask questions and to join the discussion. Everyone is free to take part from one\u2019s home or office via computer, smartphone or landline. The speakers can be seen and listened to in a video window and interact with the audience like in a normal room. You can ask your questions via an online chat or get directly involved by posing questions and statements via your microphone.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Taking part is simple.
