During the last two days a delegation of the European Parliament has visited Malta in a fact finding mission on the rule of law in Malta. The delegation followed the brutal murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia and the implication of members of the government in the Panama Papers without any consequences or prosecutions. The European Parliament has sent the delegation after doubts have risen over the rule of law in a plenary resolution mentioning Art. 7 EUV concerns. \u2014The delegation is lead by Ana G\u00f3mez (Portugal) and Sven Giegold representing the Greens\/EFA group.<\/p>\n
