Reminder: conference “transparent, clean, accountable” 3rd Sep 15-17h30 in Brussels and online

Dear friends, dear colleagues,

in only about a week the Green Group in the European Parliament invites international experts for clean, transparent and accountable politics to Brussels for a topical conference. Among others Élodie Cuerq from the tough French High Authority who checks declarations of interest will come and visit from Paris. The Canadian Lobby Registers sends Bruce Bergen from their team of skilled investigative experts several times the size of the respective European register secretariat. From Madrid we’ll have Helen Darbishire, the leading activist for full access of citizens to EU documents with us. The results of the conference will feed my report on “transparency, integrity and accountability” of EU institutions.

We would be glad to see you for this exchange of best practice and your personal questions on 3rd September 2015, 15:00-17:30 to the European Parliament in Brussels, Room ASP A1G3, in 60 rue Wiertz – 1047 Brussels

Please register until latest 1st September including the necessary information for your access to the EP building here: http://www.greens-efa.eu/index.php?id=687

In case you can’t make it to Brussels but would like to follow the event, we organise for a live streaming that will be available at: http://greenmediabox.eu/en

Following wind for the event comes from Democracy International. Thousands of citizens replied on their question asking for practical suggestions just a few weeks ago: http://www.democracy-international.org/sites/democracy-international.org/files/results-survey-stronger-eu-transparency-law-democracy-international.pdf

I am grateful for those proposals yet no less for yours during the event!

Please find below the programme of our event.

Kind regards,

Sven Giegold
