Greens worldwide: Three clicks for democracy

Dear friends,

It’s winter in Germany right now – and the political climate is also rather cold and grey. Many people are shocked by the conservative candidate Friedrich Merz’s announcement that he will push through his extreme migration policy ideas – even with the help of the extreme right AfD. Likewise, Donald Trump’s announcements about pushing through a strong America with a new unilateralism have left their mark.

Let’s set another example together. Worldwide.

To this end, a great team has created the new website www.gruene-weltweit.de! This platform now makes it even easier for Germans living abroad to take part in elections and exercise their democratic rights. If your place of residence is not anymore in Germany you have to apply for your postal voting documents by February 2. If you still reside legally in Germany, you have a bit more time to ask for your papers.

www.gruene-weltweit.de offers Germans living abroad who are interested in politics and have close ties to green values the opportunity to network and actively participate in shaping green politics.

This is an important service to democracy that enables Germans living abroad to make their voices heard in political processes.

So: Visit us at gruene-weltweit.de, tell others with a German passport about it and – above all – let’s create a greener and fairer world together!

Forward the website to German citizens you know abroad!

The Green Federal Executive Board would like to thank Stefan Hochhuth, former member of the Green Party’s Washington chapter, and his team for their great efforts!

With best green regards,

Your Sven Giegold
