Invitation for a press breakfast: Banking reform: what happened to fixing our broken financial system?
The financial crisis that hit in 2007 revealed severe instabilities in the global financial system. But what became of the efforts to fix it?
While there initially seemed to be international political resolve for major reform, almost a decade later, these have not materialised.
In response, a group of Greens/EFA MEPs have published a report, showing evidence of political initiatives to roll back the reforms already made. This is being done on the dubious pretext that the reforms went too far and may be holding back economic recovery. To discuss this, I would like to invite you together with Philippe Lamberts and Ernest Urtasun for a press breakfast:
on Tuesday, 28 March at 9:30 am
in the Members’ Restaurant (Ground floor ASP building)
