Online event – 1 September 2020 – 10:00am to 12:30pm
Dear friends, dear interested,
As part of the European Green Deal, the European Commission will present its Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability. Ahead of the publication, we would like to discuss with high-level policy-makers and stakeholders, how the European industry can start the ecological transition. For our health, a non-toxic environment and sustainable products. We want to debate how an ambitious chemical policy and a European zero tolerance strategy for toxic chemicals can save the chemical sector from the fate of other key European industries. Safe, resource and climate-friendly chemicals will have to be “Made in Europe” in the future. In this way, ambitious chemical policy becomes an opportunity for industry to remain competitive. Just last week, the European Parliament adopted an ambitious resolution on the Strategy. We will therefore discuss our priorities for the Commission’s upcoming strategy, with
Virginijus Sinkevičius, Commissioner for the Environment
Bjorn Hansen, Executive Director, ECHA
Carole Dieschbourg, Minister for the Environment, Luxembourg
Saori Dubourg, Member of the Board of Executive Directors, BASF (tbc)
Frida Hök, Deputy Director, ChemSec
Date: 1 September 2020 – 10:00am to 12:30pm

The conference will be held in English with German interpretation. We are looking forward to discussing with you. Please share this invitation with anyone interested.
With European greetings,
