Invitation to the “European Corona Conference” on Wednesday, 8.4. at 7:00 PM CEST

Recording:

Dear friends,

within a few weeks, the corona pandemic has spread throughout Europe and the world – with serious consequences for people, their health and the economy. But corona is about much more than the disease itself. The political consequences of the pandemic go much further:

Do societies show solidarity or does the disease create new inequalities? Is climate protection falling behind or do climate investments offer the chance for economic recovery? Is crisis nationalism dominant or is Europe ultimately growing together anew? Will authoritarianism and populism succeed in the crisis or will citizens gain new confidence in democracy’s ability to act?

How do European Green parties view the measures taken in their respective countries – and their political and economic consequences from an opposition or government perspective? It is time for a European debate. Be a part of it!

Thus, I would like to discuss this with you and high-profile Green guests from many European countries

on Wednesday, 8.4.2020 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM CEST.

Please, register right here: Registration

This is how Europe Calling works:

To participate in Europe Calling you don’t have to go anywhere, you can follow the discussion from your sofa at home and have your say.

European discussions hardly reach many people, although they affect all of us. Via online events we can talk to each other about European politics without having to travel to one place. You see a video of the participants and can listen to them. You can join the discussion yourself via chat or by using your microphone. All of this is easily done from a computer, mobile phone or landline. In this way, European politics comes directly to you without having to travel – almost like a panel discussion on site! These webinars can be attended by several hundred guests.

Register now for the webinar (technically necessary):

https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/8782037271504747532

And there you go: Register for the webinar in advance using the above link, follow the confirmation link sent by e-mail and then dial in at the start time of the discussion. All this is simple and self-explanatory: The speaker or a presentation is displayed on the screen. Via the chat, you can contribute in writing. As an alternative to the computer, you can also simply listen on the phone. And I, as a moderator, lead through the presentation and discussion.

Technical problems? My colleague in the Düsseldorf office, Maximilian Fries, is available for questions before and during the discussion: +49 (0) 211 936530-11 / maximilian.fries@gruene-europa.de
