Wie in Deutschland unterstützen die Niederländischen Grünen ebenso wie die Sozialdemokraten die Ertüchtigung des EFSF. Im Parlamentarischen Verfahren erreichten sie jedoch einen Beschluss, dass sich die niederländische Regierung im Europäischen Rat für zwei zusätzliche Maßnahmen einsetzen soll:
1. Die Trennung von Investmentbanken und Geschäftsbanken
2. Ein Europäisches Investitionsprogramm, um die einseitige Fokussierung auf Sparprogramme zu überwinden.

Having heard the discussion, whereas there was unanimous support in parliament for the recommendation of the „de Wit commission“ on distinguishing between utility and commercial banking activities, calls on the Government to implement this recommendation and to introduce this in the European debate;

European economic stimulus policy
The House of Representatives,
Having heard the discussion, whearas the government seems to aim primarily at punishment and atonement for countries that pose a risk to stability in the euro area;
Considering that this does improve the necessary discipline, but does not contribute to the development of a strong and social Europe of the future;
whearas the IMF, OECD, CPB (Dutch economic policy analysis) and the Dutch social partners have called for restraint in additional spending cuts and pleaded in favour of reforms by the stronger countries in Europe to promote growth;
calls on the government, within the limits of the European financial framework, to work towards a sustainable European Reform and Stimulus Package with the aim to achieve economic growth and convergence;
