The Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) in the European Parliament is currently preparing its opinion on the discharge for the implementation of the budgets of the three European Supervisory Authorities EBA (European Banking Authority) , EIOPA (European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority) and ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority). This annual discharge provides an opportunity to provide feedback on their work and to highlight successes and problems where appropriate.
Against this background, we would ask you to give us concrete (!) hints and suggestions for the opinions. In this context we are also interested if, for example, the principle of proportionality has not been sufficiently taken into account in specific actions. We therefore invite you to send us your suggestions for concrete comments to sven.giegold@ep.europa.eu by Wednesday, 4 December 2019, 4 pm.
